    Happy April Fool’s Day!

We challenge you to plan out the most epic prank this April Fool’s. If you’re running low on ideas, check out the Prankster Skill for more projects like this head in a jar illusion. Using a photo editor, blend two images together to create a flat image of a head, laminate it, and submerge it in a jar.  When the flattened image is inserted into the curved jar, the water distorts it - giving it the illusion of a decapitated head in a jar of preserving fluid.

    Have fun!

  • Posting during my break.

My lunch consists of 1 1/2 slices of ‘za and a bottle of pink lemonade. My boss just walked by me and asked if we had some more of the new LG Tones that everybody has a huge tech crush on. Nope. Sold out, boss man.

I think he’s proud of us.

Random thought: I wonder how many jaws he’s crushed back in his day. Dude is scary big. He’s not fat. He’s just very tall and super husky. I am terrified of him. I mean, he’s not mean. I would just hate to be on his bad side.

Anyway, I am waiting for my coworky to come get the other half of this pizza before I change my mind and eat it. I can’t do that. I always steal his food. Wait never mind. He’s here now. Sigh…

    Love my work family.

It’s been a good day in sales land so far. I get Saturday through Monday off, so my family and I are going to get out of here for awhile. Seriously looking forward it. I don’t get to see them as much anymore.

I have to get back on the clock, so Happy early Easter to everyone!

    Keep it real.

Why can Verizon give me a phone for around $150 and a second one free with a contract but charge me $600 for a phone without a contract?

Part of your monthly bill for the next 24 months pays for the cost of the phone they gave you for a discount when you signed up. By the end of those two years, you’ve more than paid for the full cost of the phone.

If you are on a month-to-month plan, they make you pay retail cost for the phone because there is no guarantee that you will stay with them for any certain amount of time and they have no reason to subsidize the cost of the phone for you.

What the difference between Warranty and Guarantee?

A guarantee is a promise that something will work for X amount of time. Many products offer a guarantee that their product will work for 5 years.

A warranty is a guarantee that a someone will do X if it happens within Y. Many companies offer warranties that if something breaks on their product within say, 3 years, they will replace it.

So when you buy or are given a warranty for something you are essentially getting a guarantee that if something goes wrong with whatever it is you got, that the person you purchased the warranty from will replace it or give you compensation somehow. The specifics would be worked out deal to deal.
